We are a family-owned and operated business located in Cameron Park California. We opened our first kitchen in February of 2011. The Crazy part though, our story starts three years prior in 2008 when The Crazy Gringo traded his 18-wheeler for a Taco Wagon Food Truck.

     After driving Long haul trucks coast to coast for over 30 years The Crazy Gringo was ready to come off the road and get into a new adventure that would lead The Crazy Gringo down the path of being in the Salsa business. He chose to get into a food truck to follow his passion for cooking. The Crazy Gringo was self-taught with zero cooking experience in the restaurant industry. The Crazy Gringo would spend countless hours perfecting his craft.

     During those long days on the Taco Wagon, The Crazy Gringo would experiment with different salsa recipes that he would create. On one particular day The Crazy Gringo was experimenting and found the perfect recipe. The recipe and technique blended every ingredient of the salsa together so perfectly that you can taste the individual veggie flavors and spices in every bite while becoming addicted to our salsa.

     "The tomatoes taste like tomatoes", "The onion taste like an onion", "The cilantro tastes like cilantro." The Original Gringo (O.G.) and the Hot Habanero are two fire roasted salsas that were the first to get the approval from The Crazy Gringo and the Crazy Gringo Family. The fire roasted red tomatoes with the garlic, onion, fire roasted jalapenos, cilantro and other added ingredients make up the two Fire roasted salsa. Once you try the salsas you can feel your mind, body, soul and taste buds salsa dancing with every bite.

     Our Sweet Tomatillo and our Sweet Hot Tomatillo came soon after. The blend of tomatillo and cabbage together with an array of other ingredients gives you a taste like no other.  When you taste the tomatillo salsas, you will see why he is called The Crazy Gringo while your taste buds experience the greatest flavor explosion.

     The Crazy Gringo said, "were going into the salsa business".  Our awesome customers soon became addicted to the irresistible taste of our salsa's. The demand was high. The Crazy Gringo had to make a decision to keep up with the high demand. One day The Crazy gringo made up 30 Original tubs of salsa and decided to take the salsa tubs to a local Farmers market. Within an hour The Crazy Gringo was sold out. The Crazy Gringo came back home and said, "were going into the Salsa business"!

     Since that time, we have expanded our company into many different lines of business. We currently have 44 outlets that sell our products. Those outlets include Farmers Markets, Breweries, Tap Rooms, Grocery stores, Hardware stores, and Ax throwing locations. Also, we have diversified our Menu product selection by offering chips, tamales, and enchiladas along with our four types of award-winning salsas.
